Some of us remember the word, don't we? Think 1979, Carter, malaise. 38/56 Right/Wrong track. I love the title the author uses - he has tanked on every issue, but we're still sticking with him, cause he's at 54% approval with a skewed methodology. Love it.

AP-GfK Poll: A grouchy public sticking with Obama - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091111/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama_ap_poll - broken link)

Quote:
They disapproved of Obama's handling of the economy a bit more than before. And, perhaps most striking for the commander in chief, more people have lost confidence in Obama on Iraq and Afghanistan over the last month. Overall, there's a malaise about the state of the nation.
History DOES repeat itself.

Just think if this poll had used credible party Id numbers.

I have news for the author, Americans are not "grouchy", they're angry.

Let's see what they had to do to get those numbers;

Democrat 43%
Republican 31%
Independents 6%.

Now, considering the Gallup poll, out just today and Rasmussen, who also has the party ID gap very small, it looks like they cooked the numbers. But even at that, they couldn't prevent the tanking on the issues.

Hot Air » Blog Archive » AP to Americans: Stop being “grouchy”

On the economy; 50/44 to 46/49 over the last month.
Taxes; 47/41 to 42/46.
Unemployment 48/43 a month ago to 44/47 now.

His numbers on Afghanistan and Iraq have tanked as well.
