Pity the poor jurors on this case. If they vote "guilty", they may have to go into the Witness Protection Program. If they vote "not guilty" they may well be pariahs in their own communities for the rest of their lives.
We can still use diplomacy, bomb as we did in this case and other tools that the U.S. government has. I think though that the guilty verdict in this case -- and to be fair, the entire trial -- has been a vindication for the rule of law in terms of getting terrorists.
I think that this case did show that using the rule of law we can stop terrorism.
Remember when, right after the election, Joe Biden guaranteed to us that "something" would happen to "test" Obama and that the country might not like how he handled it? Anyone else think that Obama's decision to give the 9/11 terrorists constitutional rights and allow their trials to be held in civilian court might be the "something" he was talking about? It's plausible.
Just for reference as to what many of the families of victims of 9/11 think.
I was very happy to sign that letter as it tells them what the people really think and gives the Congress the notification that it is time to stop some of the foolishness this administration is performing.

"AG Eric Holder will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, November 18, to testify about the administration’s plan to bring Khalid Sheikh Mohammed back to the scene of Al Qaeda’s greatest single atrocity–Ground Zero–where he will brag about the slaughter of 3,000 innocent men, women and children and his lawyers will tell a “jury of his peers” that HE is a victim of the U.S. Government."

Which plane was Cheney flying? I thought they put him deep underground that day.
