Yeledaf, what was the point of this thread--to let everyone know that you don't like The Daily Show? Or that you don't care for Jon Stewart? OK, seen and noted. This should probably have been placed in the Great Debates forum.

Don't take it personally, pal. Mr. "Stewart" doesn't care.

Not even a tad besmirched. And he's not an idol to me as I suspect the right wing loudmouths are to you. Unsubscribing now. Your outrage is so misplaced it's laughable.

He's a Comedian, his show is on the Comedy Network
Beck is a Comedian, his show is on the Pox Comedy Network

Are you still seeing 40,000?

Maybe, maybe not.

Given the several threads referencing the Daily Show which are currently running on the Forum, I thought a dissenting point of view might be in order -- one which points out the consistently partisan support which Mr. "Stewart" provides for the majority party, and his troubling fixation with silencing the one opposition media source currently in business.

My point concerned the media and its power to direct opinion -- even when it is in the guise of satire. Many posters here feel that I should be personally attacked for even raising the issue. It was not my intetion to provoke their enmity. I wanted to discuss the larger issue.

So maybe you're right.

It's truly scary, they actually see 40,000 people at that rally and anyone who doesn't must be a Goldstien.

"...ashamed of his family"???? Quotes around his last name?

His name is Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz. He's Jewish. It seems to come up at least once every show.

Fox News busted William Jefferson, Dan Rather, and Van Jones. They're all gone. So is Anita Dunn. Fox News is a serious news organization and the only existing counterweight to the administration. Remove them and you wil indeed have Big Brother.

Maybe that's what you want?

If he kept the Leibowitz, I'm sure he'd fare MUCH better with the neo-cons.
