Actually, the Dow hasn't changed one bit. Worth 9 ounces of gold and holding steady since the bottom. Pretty much the same ratio with silver, oil, and other commodities as well.
Could you provide a link to this. I've heard the DOW referenced this way, but never saw how its done.
If they raise the interest rates and we have inflation, what will that do to the numbers?
We can't seem to find out how much money the federal government and the federal reserve has dumped into Wall Street, but I'm sure all that cash has done something, and it certainly made some folks rich.

We will see. One thing that is likely is that the fed will keep trying to prop up the market. I'm thinking that it will fail. Someone will flinch and that will be that. The housing market in still tanking unabated. How much can the banks write off and stay solvent?
I have no clue, its not as if we can audit the Fed, at least not yet.
The fed is loaning out money and it is finding its way into the stock market. Not directly.
