No chance you're creating a self-fulfilling prophecy with your hostility? You prefer to live in a country where your government is something to be feared?

I cannot believe how we vote in Govt's to do what is best for ALL of us and then try to tie their hands behind their backs with our personal paranoias and fears.
Why do we vote in a Govt?
Just watch the daily news to see why we need official agencies to stop the actions of extremely selfish, dangerous and stupid people. It would be great if intervention was not needed but unfortunately it is badly needed. It will be too late when your child, while visiting a friends house, is blinded or burned to death or seriously injured because of neglectful parents. You will NOT be inspecting the home of your Child's friends parents. Get real here.
Crying Big Brother or Govt. conspiracy is not just dumb but extremely naive.
Most people will never ever have any contact with Govt. watchdogs but the idiots who endanger not only themselves but all around them should be visited and shown what they are doing wrong.
The same people on here who say "these people are idiots but who cares", are exactly the same people who would blame the Govt for not taking action to prevent such disasters if their child or loved one was killed or maimed by neglect.... neglect that could have been prevented.
Stop this Govt phobia ........... it only reinforces bad behaviour and ignorance.

One can not simply make up some subjective reason and walk right in. CPS has done this in the past and has been severely reprimanded for such (I know of many cases where they have overstepped their legal right).

So, in our case CPS must have compelling reason to enter based on the reasonable belief that a crime is being committed or in the process of being committed against a child.

So, without probable cause. No.
All they need is one phone call and they are in, no warrant required.

That is incorrect, they must obtain a warrant to enter your home and a law enforcement officer will be present in these cases. They are not "police officers" and have no legal right to act under such authority. Now some have bullied their way in through coercion (threats of taking peoples children away) and these are the instances I mentioned to where they have been found guilty of abuse of their station.

Read up on the laws, they really have little power without probable cause and as I said, this is really the police taking action on their behalf.

What is your solution then? Should we go back to the days when tragedies like The Triangle Fire were commonplace?
