This may be going too far. A conservative group is now making tee shirts, teddy bears and bumber stickers that say "Pray for Obama Psalm 109:8"

Even if I didn't like Bush, I never wanted him to get violently murdered.

Yeah. This is DISGUSTING. There has never been so anger and violence aimed at a President.

I send my love and well wishes to the Obama family.

I am not sure it means anyone wants him to die a violent death. I just looked it up and it says May his days be few and another take his place. I don't know the context or what it really means but it doesn't sound like wishing death on some one.

According to the Boston Globe, personal presidential security has had to be heightened 400% more than any president since JFK.

These conservatives are starting to show their true colors. As long as no one gets hurt I'm perfectly fine with this: it's exposing them for the true irrational morons they are.

If you read the whole psalm it refers to God getting vengance on this man and his children being fatherless.

Let his days be few;
and let another take his office. Acts

Psalms 109. The Holy Bible: King James Version.

Where does it say anything about being violently murdered? Why can't it be considered hope he doesn't get reelected?

During the last few days, Psalm 109:8, a Bible verse in the form of a “prayer for Obama,” has topped the Google trends chart: “May his days be few; may another take his office.” Evidently, a bumper sticker emblazoned with this verse has popped up in various parts of the country. It is a sort of right-wing Christian equivalent to the old “01.20.09″ stickers looking forward to the end of the Bush era.

It was, most likely, intended as a joke. But it isn’t really very funny. Especially since the next verse reads, “May his children be orphans, and his wife a widow.” The passage goes on the same way — asking God to pulverize this poor fellow — that he lose all his worldly goods, that his orphans be abandoned, that his father be remembered as a sinner, and finally, that “his memory be cut off from the earth.”

Thus, the “Prayer for Obama” does more than anticipate that he leaves office; it entreats God to destroy the president.

The line after says “May his children be orphans, and his wife a widow.”

How fitting of this CHRISTIAN group, eh?

They should be reported to the Secret Service in my honest opinion.

It is very much a stretch to claim security has to be increased because of conservatives. Was Hinkley a leftist? There are nuts out there of every political stripe.

Also how does one increase security by 400%? Did they increase his secret service agents by 400%? Are they 400% more vigilant?
