We are women or females, if you want to use the correct terminology.

And yes, words do matter.
Well, this woman is never offended by being referred to as a lady - probably because I know that I don't always act like one!

Yes, they do. Now how should we evaluate women using the standards ""feminine, polished, graceful, and eloquent """?

First , we should have to define those words...and then, what if a woman can only score three of the four...are they only an "ady" ?..or a "lad" ?

What if they add a description..like "has great fingernails"...does that make them an A+ Lady, AlmostSuperLady ???

Does adding "intelligent" take away the title of "Lady"? (sounds like it would)

How about successful or powerful? Oh, I'm sure those words would earn a B-t-h title!

Oh, dear, Cheil, it is all so confusing ...those acceptance standards...I'm feeling faint , I need my smelling salts and my fainting couch!!!

Was the underlined really necessary? If you don't want to be called a jerk, don't act like one.

Guess my initial reply was unnecessary, since it seems you edited your post while I was replying.

I try not to act like one, but certain people give me no choice.
