he doesn't say war on terror because you can't have a war on an ideology, you declare war on countries.

The reason he isn't calling it a war is so the terrorists captured can't be tried in a military court. He wants them to have the same rights as US citizens so they can get off by using the loopholes in the civilian court system.

How about the War on Poverty? Which country is that?

Sounds very plausible indeed.

Is poverty an emotional state or ideology?

I do agree though that the word 'war' is overused, by all sides.

I love it when people make things up. It helps expand the range of human imagination. Actually, it's embarrassing. People use that powerful imagination to create enemies and demonize people, thereby missing the point.

But, if I were to continue this delusion... Bush signed the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act so when the excrement hits the fan, the people of the USA won't have any rights left, they'd be powerless to stop the government from committing atrocities here and abroad. Bush hated American citizens and wanted everyone under surveillance. Bush was so anti-Saddam that he didn't care how many American men and women had to die in his wars. Bush hated God, really, because he did everything in his power to decimate all environmental legislation, making loopholes for his biggest contributors and ignoring any science that told the truth. See, I can demonize too. OK, I may have embellished a bit, but mine would withstand scrutiny. Yours is just irrational hatred.

Probably both. Many on welfare are in an emotional state - sufficiently comfy to want to stay there. For the government, it's an ideology. If the gov can keep us all dependent and impoverished, they'll have all the money and power.

You are kidding, I'm sure. Didn't Obama extend the Patriot Act? So there's no difference between Obama and Bush, according to you.

So reading through these posts gives you all the information you need to assert that Obama supports Muslim terrorists? You need alternate sources. And you need to learn to read because I didn't see anything to support your conclusion.

Few if any people support Muslim extremism but you go ahead and label "left wingers" (an extremely large group by the way) as supporting Muslim extremism. This is erroneous logic by a large margin. You just want to assert your right wing stance and make fun of anyone who feels/thinks differently. You will draw conclusions not based on facts and assign such things to large groups. It is a tactic of people who are desperate and angry, it is a precursor to mob mentality.

Let's calm down, take a deep breath, assimilate the facts as we know them, and then form conclusions. Assumptions might feel good, but until there are facts to support them, they should not be the basis for anyone's opinion or reality.
