What disrespectful to the victims and their family members and friends!...Unbelievable!!!
Is it a problem that both Holder and Obama says he will be found guilty and executed.
Do these statements not taint the jury pool?
How do we find a fair jury or even one that has his peers on it?

Lindsay Graham ripped Holder apart and the only reason I can see to go this route is to try Rove Cheney and Bush. The prosecution will call them.

They are hoping for perjury with one of them,
They could care less about KSM and the stupidity of doing this.

Ah, okay.... I was wondering what the suspected bottom line here was.... This is certainly plausible but thankfully provable as well.... We'll see....

Win for Holder.
Really? After watching that garbage, THAT was your take on his response? He was being "patient"?

Wow. There's no hope for some people. You can admit when someone is a complete and utter idiot. It's OK. You can still worship Obama and say that Holder is worthless and a danger to our country.

If the AG can't give a good reason for trying terrorists (yes, terrorists) in a civilian court, we've got a problem. Especially when he's the one making the call.

There's no hope for you.

He did. But what he wants to avoid is theater that highlights issues that liberals would rather forget.

President Obama told the media in Alaska he didn't want a congressional investigation into the Fort Hood matter. He said we must "resist the temptation to turn this tragic event into political theater." He said that even as decided that the prosecution of KSM would be showcased to the world in NYC.

A mere pittance compared to our deficit. Besides, just think of all the jobs that will create.

One question I would ask is that with regard to this, it seems the Right wants to go the route of "He's NOT a civilian, he's an enemy combatant!!!!" and then when it comes down to rights under the Geneva Convention "They are NOT enemy combatants!!!"

So what gives? I mean I know that the ingenious maneuver of waterboarding KSM some 180 times or so is going to make prosecuting him in our courts a royal pain in the arse, but....
You're confused. The GC doesn't protect enemy combatants. It only protects uniformed soldiers fighting for an army of a nation.

There are examples of those who should and shouldn't be covered by the GC who weren't afforded GC rights, but no biggie. Don't want to hijack the thread...

This is about the Obama admin trying the Bush admin and the CIA by bringing KSM to NY and to appease the world and show them what "good guys" we are. This isn't about justice. It's a political game with way too many unintended consequences for America, and none of them good. Good luck trying to recruit anyone worth a sh*t for the CIA and FBI in the future.

What's funny is that if we'd have just taken KSM and cut his throat the second he admitted to being the "Mastermind of 9/11" and not really said anything more about it we'd have been done with it 6 or 7 years ago....

I realize we aren't really allowed to do that, but....

We have tried terrorists in civilian court in the past. Why should this be different?

Because there's no one out there with half a brain that knows this isn't about terrorism. This is about trying to put interrogation techniques on trial and attempt to bring Bush and Cheney into the fold. If the goal wasn't to try to discredit the CIA and FBI, there is NO reason to not have a tribunal. If they're so sure they'll be convicted and executed (and by saying so, they've given their defense lawyers MORE ammo), what's the point of bringing the trial here?

There isn't one. This is pathetic partisan politics. It's putting our country at risk by giving the defense the ability to publicize the actions of our intelligence community and it compromises our security.

It's pathetic that this administration is more concerned with bringing down other administrations than with the safety of our citizens and bringing to justice those involved with 9/11.
