I guess in this case, the administration is being transparent.

The trial is to dispute who's the martyr. The innocent people who went to work that day in an office, not a battlefield, and who died horrific deaths as civilian passenger jets slammed into their buildings, or the man who planned their deaths.

The prosecution wants to remind the world of what happened on 9/11.

It's PR. But that's what trials are. Trials aren't just about uncovering truth, or imposing justice. Trials are also about telling the world that you are a society that believes in the truth, that enforces justice. Trials are about public relations, about sending the public a message, about responding to public complaints.

Some of the families of 9/11 victims don't want this trial, don't want to give KSM a forum or an audience. But some of the families do want this trial, they want to see American justice work.

The problem with using KSM to put Bush on trial will be someday these guys will be out of office and the next republican administration will use a show trial to go after Obama .

He was in the Army and commited the crime while on duty. Why should he have a civillian trial? He should a have Courts Martial be facing a Military Tribunal. If or when he is found guilty he should be granted a military execution by firing squad.

KSM.

And we have put other terrorists on trial in civilian courts, other terrorists associated with attacks on the World Trade Center, other terrorists associated with hi-jacking airliners.

And we didn't have to call Bush or Cheney as witnesses in those trials; it's doubtful that Bush or Cheney would be called to testify against KSM.

Obama: Professed 9/11 mastermind will be convicted
0bama and holder have called these men terrorists and murderers, holder already has them convicted in the public forum.

Insult to injury - these guys commit mass murder and destroy multiple buildings in NYC, and now the people of NYC will have to pay $50-150 million to prosecute them, all because little Eric Holder and 0bama say so?

As one senator put it:

SENATOR LINDSEY GRAHAM, (R-S.C): Can you give me a case in United States history where a enemy combatant caught on a battlefield was tried in civilian court?

ERIC HOLDER, ATTORNEY GENERAL: I dont know. Id have to look at that. I think that, you know, the determination Ive made

GRAHAM: Were making history here, Mr. Attorney General. Ill answer it for you. The answer is no.

As Eric holder admitted we have never tried an enemy combatant who was captured on foreign soil in a civilian American court. Never
The defense will certainly call Bush so that the confessions can be thrown out.
name one foreign born enemy combatant who was captured on foreign soil that ended up in civilian court in the US.
Eric Holder could not answer that but I am sure you are smarter than he is so you answer it
