It is pretty scary when you start thinking about it and connecting the dots.
Because it works..it sways the masses and points them in "the right direction" wherever that may be. It builds consensus and groupthink.

Media is ultimate propaganda machine. Why do you think Congress was so up in arms when people weren't prepared for the switch to digital ?
Without mass media to tell us what to think, we might actually form our own opinions.

For some reason, I didn't expect this pravda-like behavior coming from our media. That is a very troubling aspect, but really, when they view the "news" through their liberal filters, what can you expect?

And then there's this;

ROFL...well Al Gore is certainly the right guy to put this climategate in perspective..isn't he.
Totally unbiased and objective. No ulterior motives.

I guess since he invented the internet he should get a say in how it's run.

So we're slowly becoming like China and the internet only we don't know it.

But if you think about this..this is huge if true. This involves governments and major political agendas. This is not like a single industry or corporation that's affected.

This is HUGE. Imagine what falls apart if this turns out that they "massaged" the numbers to promote a corporate, government, global agenda ?

Who the heck is so powerful to have been able to pull this off ?

And if it "is" that big, then we are in SERIOUS trouble.

Success!!

Climategate: University of East Anglia U-turn in climate change row - Telegraph

Quote:
Leading British scientists at the University of East Anglia, who were accused of manipulating climate change data - dubbed Climategate - have agreed to publish their figures in full.

In a statement welcomed by climate change sceptics, the university said it would make all the data accessible as soon as possible, once its Climatic Research Unit (CRU) had negotiated its release from a range of non-publication agreements.

The publication will be carried out in collaboration with the Met Office Hadley Centre.
AND their statistical methods I hope.

But of course, this means nothing, absolutely nothing - right deniers?

Now, you know when the believers say that skeptics are funded and backed by big evil oil? Just quote these staggering figures.

Great piece by Times OnLine;

Quote:
This weekend it emerged that the unit has thrown away much of the data. Tucked away on its website is this statement: “Data storage availability in the 1980s meant that we were not able to keep the multiple sources for some sites ... We, therefore, do not hold the original raw data but only the value-added (ie, quality controlled and homogenised) data.”
A file cabinet would do.

This IS a problem, isn't it?
