We are slowly approaching 50% of Americans do not pay Federal Income Tax (some get back more than they put in).

The government's revenue stream from taxes will shrink. To make that same amount of revenue..those that pay taxes will have to pay more.

It's nothing more than simple math.
Do you know many/any people who don't pay income tax? The only person I know who didn't pay income tax last year is my daughter, who was living entirely on student loans.

There is a huge difference between people who pay no income tax and those who get a refund. These numbers are getting twisted by those who want us to believe that half our friends and neighbors are paying no tax.

Getting a refund is not paying Federal Income tax. It includes refunds and credits. The official number is 47%.

Tax is taken out every paycheck. When you file and you get back 100+% then you have paid no Federal Income tax.

47% of Americans pay no Federal Income Tax..they get back all they put in and sometimes more due to credits.

47% of households owe no tax - and their ranks are growing - Sep. 30, 2009

It was political. All of it.
Not true.

Lost of organizations support the new recommendations, including the National Cervical Cancer Coalition: NCCC National Cervical Cancer Coalition

Get over it.

Of course it was -- anyone who thinks the "scientists" who recommended annual exams for both these tests for decades now suddenly stumbled simultaneously on the findings that these tests they've pushed are now too dangerous to perform.

The administration realizes it can not begin to pay for the free health care it's promising all the people who now expect to have it and will be showing up on the doorsteps of doctors. The government is heavily in debt already, cuts will be made and those people who grew accustomed to their insurance companies paying for these tests annually must now accept the new government plan. The government will have to divide it all up "fairly". That means those people used to paying for insurance will see big cut backs.

Once you have politcally appointed panels seeking to meet a cost goal ;this is what you get. A politcal decision. But private insurnace can be negotiated and cover whatever the payer wishes as it does now. That is why coverage varies so much between different groups.

What kind of real world experience do you want...?

I lived in a socialist health care country and thought it was great...most people do, because they have nothing to compare it with and only hear that it is either this or like in the US not being ins...which we all know is BS!

When I got the experience of living here for yrs and going into hospitals for 3 of my family members and one very intensively....I found out it is a huge difference and the quality over here without the waiting times is enormous...no comparing at all ...

Only the ER waiting times for like a broken nose are ridiculous but that is because people with no urgency are going to the ER and in Europe they are send away and not being treated...

I told you with a fever for a flu don't even think to go to the doctor within 5 days because they will send you away...

Not even naive. Dishonest.
It is just more proof that the looney left are so dumb and easily played. Who would have thought that some day the left loons would be on the side of the big bad insurance companies as the try to deny coverage and reduce their costs so they can raise their profits? Boy have things turned upside down.

The hypocrisy of the left is truly amazing but not unexpected.

The recommendation, actually both recommendations, are general, and both take great care to explicitly advise that women consult with their doctors and that the decision to have these screenings should still be at the discretion of the patient and doctor. Neither of the recommendations is a green light for insurance companies to deny coverage of the screenings if the patient's doctor thinks those screenings are merited.
Not yet but wait until the majority have government run health insurance plans. You can count on it not being paid for under those plans. Especially when the doctors are on government payroll. The thought is horrifying.
