National Debt Now Tops $12 Trillion - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Quote:
This latest milestone in the ever-rising journey of the National Debt comes less than eight months after it hit $11 trillion for the first time. The latest high-point is not unexpected, considering the federal deficit for the just-ended 2009 fiscal year hit an all-time high at $1.42-trillion – more than triple the previous year's record high.

But the White House budget review issued in August projects that by the end of the current fiscal year on Sept 30th, the National Debt could top $14 trillion.
There are no words really.

Why do you right wingers worry about any debt?
According to the right wingers we are living in the End Times. The Rapture is near! Jesus will return any day now. That means no future generations. No debt for future generations to pay.
The main thing is to "get right" with Jesus.
May God Ble$$ You!

I feel so sorry for the young people who will suffer due to this excessive spending. At this rate, the United States will be a third world country.

And the saddest part is that companies around the U.S. are denying jobs to decent applicants based off of credit reports that come back with derogatory information about the applicant.

This administration will bail out massive companies that turn around and give their executives staggering bonuses, yet states like California are so financially bankrupt that workers are being paid with IOU's.

Our own government is so deep in the financial rabbit hole that countries like China are beginning to back away from investments with us. Yet, a decent, hard working person that hit a rough spot with the recession, lost their job, or became somehow otherwise unable to pay their bills, mortgage, ect. is being denied an employment opportunity that will allow them to regain an income due to their credit history, because they are considered by the potential employer to be a high risk for theft or whatever other reason.

This is a lose-lose situation. Any decent American should be outraged.

So we've now reached 12 TRILLION after Bush left our nation in it's worst recession since the Great Depression?

A recession so bad, it caused the next president to loan out nearly ONE TRILLION in stimulus funds just to keep our economy from entering a COMPLETE GLOBAL MELTDOWN!

And you are surprised ???

Yes ... the endless gifts of the Bush Administration just keep rolling along ....
