LOLOLOLOLOL!

Please tell me this isn't supposed to pass as well thought out analysis? Gays from the rural areas flock to cities because they are accepted and not persecuted by small town mindsets. There is nothing about living in a city that makes one more likely to grow up gay!

God, ignorance is an epidemic around here!
Do you even know what causes someone to grow up gay? It is most common from a family where there is no father around. As in no male role-model. This is FAR more common in urban areas than rural areas.

There has been an slow movement of people from the country to the cities for more than 100 years. And it has been very dramatic in recent years. That goes for homosexuals and non-homosexuals alike.

I bet this southern white boy has gained a lot more life experience, common sense and wisdom in his 10 years of military service than you did getting your "education."

Another rural member who says he is more educated than someone who went to college and earned a degree. Score one for the OP

Golly gee, now I feel so guilty... its all my fault. Who would have thought I could destroy an entire race of people.

I shall now have to hold a meeting of fellow hilltopping, possum eatin, coon dog owning back country folk and plot the domination of the world. Just as soon as I finish a few more snorts of shine and a bowl of grits. (snaps suspenders) yuk yuk

Yeah, but more people go to college too.

Quote:
1) What is white culture? Wasn't white culture mostly rural in this country until recently?
Not that recently, it has been suburban/urban since WWII and was getting that way from the 1870s on.
It was the influence of that HOLLYWOOD UNION LEADER Ronald Reagan that brought the rural white people back into the fold politically...before him, Republicans were mostly urban and educated professionals.

Quote:
2) Is the white rural population getting a quality education? Well, from my experiences, the schools in more white rural areas have been doing far better nationally than almost all inner city schools.
That's why Mississippi and other Bible Belt states are consistently in the bottom of the ranks of school systems and the education of the students.

Quote:
3) Who will last longer in the future, the white rural race or the urban white race? Well the urban whites are not having enough babies to replace themselves, but the rural whites usually have a lot more children. Based off that rate, the urban whites at some point would disappear, replaced by either descendants of rural whites or immigrants.
Who will eventually evolve and move into cities when they realize that there's a reason why every society in history has urbanized.

Quote:
4) Who has better morals of these two groups? Well rural whites are usually more religious, with a base of Christian god-fearing values. Urban whites are more atheist who tend to become homosexuals in droves(so they aren't having kids), or they never marry while popping out a couple kids with no daddy. Then theres crime rates, drug addiction rates, broken families, prostitution, etc.
So? Being a primitive follower of fairy tales does not make one moral. Utah has the highest rates of pornography usage and they are the most religious. Meth labs are prevalent in rural society. Teen pregnancies are alarmingly high in rural areas. And finally, Atheists are MORE moral than Christians because they don't need some stupid fairy tales and an imaginary friend to keep them from doing evil things. They have a conscience and common sense...which is something that is clearly lacking in anyone who takes a 2000 year old book of fairy tales as anything more than that.
"God-fearing" is a term that immediately labels you as someone who is lacking in common sense or logic. Even if you believe in god, why would you fear him? Isn't the purpose of god to protect you and to guide you and to save you from harm? Isn't fearing him a hypocritical thing to do?

While I hate rural areas because they waste huge volumes of energy(gasoline/electricity), the people of rural areas are FAR better IMO than urbanites.
There are plenty of nice people and jerks in both urban and rural areas, but those in rural areas think only about themselves and assume everyone else is just like them. They even elect people based on who they would most want to have a beer with. Urban folks realize that to live in a better society, they need to improve the lives of others around them. This is true for both urban liberals and conservatives.

Why is it that some that consider themselves as having evolved beyond bigotry are blind to their own or think their bigotry is okay?

"Earned" a degree--or were handed one?

Spend more time drinking and partying than you do in class, and what do you actually learn? Not about work, or character development.

"Causes someone to grow up gay"...WOW...Ignorance at its finest.

That is not true at all. Homosexuality is a genetic thing, it has nothing to do with whether or not there is a father around.

Thanks for proving the ignorance and the bigotry that was talked about in the OP...I guess it was pretty accurate after all.

Except we are discriminating against people for their views not their race or their religion. It just so happens that people who have these views mostly live in rural areas and the South. Notice, we didn't say ALL Christians or ALL Whites or ALL of Christianity. That's quite different than those who are regularly preaching against ALL Muslims

Nobody outside of the South holds that view? Everyone in the South holds that view?

Sorry but being gay has nothing to do with a missing male role model and all to do with liking and being attracted to your own sex.Would you say the same thing about lesbians?
