"Phelps has run in various Kansas Democratic Party primaries five times, but has never won. These included races for governor in 1990, 1994, and 1998, receiving about 15 percent of the vote in 1998.[58] In the 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate, Phelps received 31 percent of the vote.[59] Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka in 1993[60] and 1997.[61]"

A real loser.....literally.

Wonder how many of these nutjobs understand that "The Last Supper" was a Passover Seder.

Agreed! They harbor a secret ill will toward Judaism. Think about it, these are the same people who praised Mel Gibson for his work on the Passion of the Christ after he made those antisemitic remarks to the police.

These people are not Christians and they do NOT speak for God. Using them as an example of Christiananity is like using John Wayne Gacy as an example of a clown. If you choose not to be a believer that is your choice. But it is intellectually dishonest to use these monsters as an excuse for your unbelief. And, by the way, most Evangelicals I know believe that the Jews are God's chosen people and that harming them or slandering them is very unpleasing to God.

Excellent post and the analogy is perfect.

The really devout evangelical Christians I know are also blindly supportive of Israel and ALL Jews and cannot view them objectively.

"God's chosen people". HRRRUMMMPH.
