Video says she left at 9, so she probably agreed to stay from 6 - 9 for autographs.

As a conservative, I dont care for Palin, but if you are going to attack her for leaving, at least know why she left.

Says one "reporter" this story talks about
tread on Sarah Palin and then she tried to make a getaway with Baby Trig and several duffel bags full of cash but wingnuts have learned to protest about everything these days

it amazes me what passes for news to the left wingers, you really think Palin is walking around with duffel bags of "cash"? BN would have provided payment in advance for such appearances..

Maybe, but a DECENT, American loving human would've seen the waiting crowd who had already paid for the book(which is WHY Sarah didn't care) and stayed until they were all given what they had been promised...
She quit AGAIN....it's her MO!

The fact that they paid a 3rd party or the fact that BN sold more signatures than they could comply with in the alloted timeframe is not Palins concern

Borders paid Palin to appear, she appeared.
Borders received payment for the signatures and BN holds responsibility to not oversell the number of signatures.

Should she have stayed, absolutely, but for how long? What if 5,000 signatures were sold, or 10,000, hell, why not fill up a stadium and then call her names for not signing each one?

She had a book signing to get to in another city 3 hours away, should she have disappointed those individuals?

The last thing she was going to do is address a mob outside, because it is not a controlled situation.

So, when you know little about things, it doesn't make much sense to comment about it. Dontchaknow?
She wasn't being asked to address a mob outside; she was expected to sign books and at least look the purchaser in the eye.

Palin Apologizes After Noblesville Book-Signing - Indiana News Story - WRTV Indianapolis

Some of you are missing the point. They handed out wristbands with the purchase of a limited number of books and those people with wristbands were promised a signature, regardless of how many additional books might be sold. Sarah is in control of how many bands per stop are given out and at the Noblesville, Indiana store she left before she got to the end of the line of banded people, leaving 300 people without their promised signature. This is the number their LOCAL paper reported. These were fans shouting, "Sign my book" not plants as some had have suggested. Plants would have no way of knowing she wasn't going to fulfill her obligation as promised by the wristband method of controlling book signings crowds. In Grand Rapids, Michigan, her first stop she did sign them all. She has no valid excuse for cutting early here. The event ending at 9 PM. She didn't have another signing to get to as someone up above suggested.

I have yet to be at a book signing where the author stayed past the time scedualed but that will not stop those from the left that are so Palin obsessed they are besides themselves. They actually think people listen to anything they have to say which is even more insane. The more they howl their hatred, the more people gravitate to Palin.

Did he say he was thinking of quitting 1/2 way through his term? That's what Sarah did.

You're right. Plants, such as roses, tomatoes, etc, can't talk. WTH?

She is not. Sarah is paid for her appearance to drum up book sales, (not just hers, but to bring in foot traffic to the store). She has no control over the number of bands sold. She would receive a % of each sale, but the numbers are not dictated by her, they are dictated by the organization who organizes the appearance, in this case Borders..

I have been to big book distributor conventions where hundreds of authors show up to sell their books to distributors (not open to the public). If you spend all day waiting in line to get a signature, and times up. Tough.. Its industry standard. Consumers expected to comply with book standards, unreasonable, but that doesnt mean the author is to blame for an oversell.

Just another liberal attack based upon nonsense..

Palin did what was best for her state since the disgusting left wingers were interfering with her ability to do her job and costing the state millions. All because of their fear and jealousy of her. On the other hand we have a con man as president that isn't even through his first year and is already realizing the public is turning against him daily. His vast ego could not take a defeat so he is putting the hints out. What a colossal loser!
