Publisher HarperCollins said Friday that Sarah Palin's memoir sold 300,000 copies its first day, among the best openings ever for a nonfiction book.
"Going Rogue" was released this week and its print run already has been increased from 1.5 million copies to 2.5 million, HarperCollins announced Friday. Palin, the former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate, is in the midst of a nationwide promotional tour.
1) People like fiction.
2) There is a small minority of people in the USA who are brainwashed by Fox and will buy any crap Palin, and her cronies throw at them.
3) She is a controversial figure and people like buying books from them; OJ's book sold well too.
Yeah, she'll never run for president. Too much like work. Why work when you can hire someone to write a book, spend not one more second than your contracted amount of time signing the books for the yokels who buy them and take a day off work to get your autograph (leaving some of them in your dust...or mud, as the case may be) and (likely) parlay it all into a talk show that will rival Beck and Limbaugh? Yep. She's a rock star! She'll never have to work again.

Now Joe, don't be bitter just because a beautiful, intelligent woman has achieved far more than you could ever even dream of...!
You don't need to admit your short comings, your party affilation says it all...

Calling her intelligent is insulting to intelligent women.
The memoir was released Tuesday but has topped best-seller lists for weeks. At the Barnes & Noble, more than 1,000 orange wristbands were handed out, allowing wearers to get two copies autographed by Palin at the three-hour signing event.
In the hours before Palin's arrival, a line of about 1,000 people snaked around cinder blocks in the store's empty garden center. Employees prepared Meijer apple juice, Meijer nondairy creamer and Meijer sugar cookies to help keep customers fed and warm.
