I'm a wait and see. I just have no idea what will happen. I voted for Obama because I do believe ideally, a well-run govt can do great things for us taxpayers.

Yet I'm afraid all of it will be misused and mishandled and go to waste. Just like $ pouring into the sinkhole war machine.

California is bankrupt due to the economic downturn that cannot sustain its social programs. I worked for that state and saw A LOT of waste happening. It is so unethical, if not downright immoral. An example would be if you paid me to babysit your kids and I took the $ and went out and spent it at the bar, leaving your kids at home alone.

I'm for a health system that insures all. Other countries are able to manage their funds to pay for it, why can't we?

When did this mismanagement begin?

I guess I'm pessimistic. Oh, I want to pull out of all foreign countries and close foreign bases (sorry, for those of you who love being stationed in Germany), and just send CIA operatives, Peace Corps volunteers, and diplomats in their stead. This'll save $, and be more effective.

I'm always optimistic about our country. Unlike some, I see our country as 300,000,000 Americans, not the party currently in power.

At the current rate China, Venezuela and Dubai will own the USA and we'll be subject to their rules and customs.
The USA currently owes China over 3 trillion dollars and climbing
The USA currently owes Dubai over one trillion dollars and climbing.
The USA currently owes Ceaser Chavez of Venezuela over 1 trillion dollars and climbing.

Pessimist. I think we are in so deep now there are few options left for us to get out of this in one piece.

Despite my state & nations problems, I remain optimistic. There's just too many smart, talented, and hard working people here for me to be pessimistic. I love life here in America.

Very optimistic. Over the long run, I think things will get better for everyone - as long as Democrats remain in control.

Optimistic, because the worst is behind us. Bush is out of office, and things cannot get any worse than they did with him.

I am a hopeful pessimist. I think with the current administration, and other problems in our society, it is going to get worse, but, I hope I am wrong, and would like to see the times turn around.
