Your post is perfect example of abject ignorance. I think the American we, "this segment of the public" (which are the majority) understand our history very well.
    1. The Boston Tea Party was the result of tax upon tax being heaped on the American colonists until they had had enough. In what may have been the first organized protest in our history, against over taxation by a tyranical government, the tea was dumped into the Boston Harbor.

It is entirely appropriate that Americans today protesting the out of control spending and over taxation by this administration, and total lack of representation by our electied representatives (If you think they are acting in your interests, you are naive) as well as the total disregard for the Constitution, have called these assemblies, "Tea Parties".
    2. Under the Constitution, we have the right to assemble and to be heard. The rest of the world does not think we are idiots, because many other peoples of the world have no such right, and their government simply sends in the military to shoot and kill them. Most recently in Iran, and perhaps you have forgotten the Tianamen Squrare Masacre of 1989 in China.
    3. The rest of the world (in case you have not listened to or read any commentary coming out of other contries) is wondering why we are persuing the failed policies of the socialist European contries. They do think we are idiots for electing Barack Obama, the clown going around the world acting as some kind of god, pretending to be a leader. The world is laughing at this clown. The man is clueless, and they know it.
I think it is you who needs a history lesson. It is obviouis you do not understand what is taking place, you do not recognize that the Constitution is being trampled (totally ignored) by this administration and this Democrat controlled Congress. Pelosi recently answered a reporter who questioned her about where she found the "Constitutional authority" for what they are doing with, "Are you serious?". They don't give a damn about the Constitution. They don't give a damn about the American people.
Sorry for the poor job of "editing" I did here (first paragraph). I messed it up, didn't I? LOL Well, I hope you all got the idea anyway! It was still early in the morning!

Mandatory has nothing to do with government but I can see how a socialist might think the way you have. Says a lot.

That is why I call them the left wing mobsters?

I agree, when the handouts are taking away from the losers they will become violent.

They are very hateful of a government who takes away their freebies.

As long as the freebies are there they love em.

Maybe it's Obama who wants another civil war, so that he can be on the "right side of history" like his hero Abraham Lincoln?

The fact that Obama so blithely dismisses one-half of the US population as nuts who cling to their guns or religion, as he called it, he is merely sowing the seeds of discontent and further alienating an entire group of Americans who are unhappy with the direction this country is going. His comments show that Obama really has no intention of being a President for all of the people.

As I see it, he's just begging for another Oklahoma City bombing, and he will have the blood of all of those innocent Americans killed on his hands. He'll blame it solely on the militias, ignoring the fact that it was Obama's policies that got the ball rolling.

Obama, aka George Soros' puppet, has gone out of his way to create a divide in this country.

When people realize that leaders are wrong and that Government should be our servant, this problem will be solved. We do not need personalities to tell us what to do, we need a Law that is clear to all and enforced fairly. We need to put our rights first and burn any law that denies those rights.

Please let me know who, except for government, has the authority to make it "mandatory to have at least 1 in each town across America", as you put it? Do tell.

Here, let me help:

man-da-to-ry [man-duh-tawr-ee, -tohr-ee] –adjective
1. authoritatively ordered; obligatory; compulsory: It is mandatory that all students take two years of math.
2. pertaining to, of the nature of, or containing a command.
3. Law. permitting no option; not to be disregarded or modified: a mandatory clause.
4. having received a mandate, as a nation.

So who gets to "authoritatively order" billboards be put up?

That is the solution in a nutshell. Thank you tallrick.
