Typical paranoia from the liberal press. One guy puts up a sign and all hell breaks loose from the anti-free speech crowd.

Just to add a little perspective...

The decline in manufacturing employment is not limited to the U.S. Since 2000, China has lost over 4.5 million manufacturing jobs. In fact, nine of the top 10 manufacturing countries, which produce 75 percent of the world's manufacturing output (the U.S., Japan, Germany, China, Britain, France, Italy, Korea, Canada, and Mexico), have lost manufacturing jobs but their manufacturing output has risen.

The message of the billboard is to throw the incumbents out. If that doesn't work, then prepare for civil war.
Yeah, that's the message I got, as well. What you don't see is the hypocrisy of replacing a democratically elected government with another democratically elected government.

"I'm a sore loser!" That's the real message being shown.

Remember all these trips they made?

It doesn't matter too much whether the jobs were sent to China for their cheap labor or to Mexico for their cheap labor. These politicians work for the cheap labor corporations and will do anything to get them the treaties and deals so they can stop hiring Americans and instead profit very well from the cheap labor of other nations.

For hypocrisy:

More than 50 protesters arrested at UC Davis - San Jose Mercury News

Why aren't all the government lovers on here condemning these rioting jerks the same way they're all bent out of shape over a free speech kind of billboard?

The billboard was some words, no one is acting up, throwing tantrums or engaging in violence, that's free speech and still protected (a very little but still protected) yet there were these people engaging in violence yesterday.

Students explained that the basically peaceful protest turned more emotionally charged as the hour hit 5 p.m., when the building officially closed. After 5 p.m., those still inside the building were considered to be trespassing.

For the next two hours, officials said, the group was asked by campus police to leave. Following repeated refusals, outside agencies were called for backup.

The California Highway Patrol arrived en masse, as did officers from Vacaville, Davis, Winters, Yolo County, Sacramento and more.

By 9:30 p.m., an estimated 52 men and women had been arrested. The majority were housed in a paddy wagon, which the protester occupants rocked each time more arrests were made. The rest were placed in the back of patrol cars.

I hope some of you government lovers will comment on the actions of these students and condemn them just as harshly for going against the government.

I was really bothered by the comments that followed that picture until I scrolled up to see where that whole thing came from. At that point I decided I didn't need to read any more comments because it was obvious what they would say. Actually all I saw was lefties trying to say that freedom of speech is allowed only to those who speak as they do.
