It's funny how when I brought up the point of the Dem's howling about about a democratically elected leader, I was off topic. But when someone else says the same thing but about the opposite party it's "exactly". Hmmm.

You were right in your post about the bush protests. How could anyone forget? That's why I made sure to include the fact in my post about the tea bag movement. Same horse, different color.
I'm trying to be "Fair and Balanced" like Fox news.

Oh I'm not talking about you, you brought up both sides. It's the Op I was refering to.
When Clinton was elected there was a similar run on ammo and increase in militias and everything else because these fringe groups assumed the founders meant for only their conservative ideology to exist in this country.
They don't seem to understand that the founders very consciously established and fostered tension between federal powers and state powers that, in some form, has existed through today.
It's kind of funny that they always think they're part of some grand revolution against the government, when in fact they're doing precisely what the system designed them to do - protest when they're out of power.
Plus, we let the free market run for decades and it wound up collapsing under its own weight. Now we need to regulate up for a while. Just different tools to draw from for different situations. We should celebrate our ability to move so quickly. China certainly wouldn't be so fortunate.
For me its things like
-our elected reps talking to college studgents the way Barney Franks did
-Grayson calling a citizen a *****
-The spending/Debt, I didnt supoort Bushs bailouts. I'm not going to support Obamas
-Call your rep and see how interested they are in what you have to say if they even pretend to care.
-Comments like Slaughter when she felt she didnt have to be threatened or listen to American citizens.
-Sick of paying them to lie to me
-Its about our gov fearing us again. We shouldnt have to fear out gov

It seems to me that about 10 to 15% of the people on both ends basically refuse to make honest and valid arguments. Instead, they argue by analogy, and the analogies are usually flawed, at best (nazi and socialism comparisons, for example). There are other logical fallacies they frequently use: red herrings (changing the subject), ad hominem attacks (you're stupid), and slippery slope arguments (if they pass health care, tomorrow we will have no freedom). These are all logical fallacies you can look up on the intertubes; there are tons more.
The other thing they do is present claims with no evidence, or they expect the evidence to speak for itself (Obama bowed! In Japan!).
I wish they would think about, for example, televised arguments in dramas--police procedurals come to mind. Would Jack McCoy ever stand up in closing arguments, point to the defendant, and tell the jury, "convict him?" Of course not--he's got to make an argument to earn that conclusion. If all you are doing is stating your conclusion, you will never persuade anyone who doesn't already agree with you.
I do believe that is because it was not democratic as much as it was corrupt.
Really? Apparently the courts didn't think so. Oh Google Joe Kennedy and Illinois. See what you find. No howling about that.
