This shows you are entirely out of touch with.....well most things. Including the fact that corporal punishment does not solve problems but creates more. Maybe you need to show respect to get it. I would never teach my children to respect someone who does not respect them. You don't deserve respect you need to earn it. Perhaps treating kids like humans would earn you some respect. Fear is not respect and all you get by hitting a helpless child is fear....and maybe a false sense of manhood

That is probably true, it is still disrespectful. If the parents have taught him not to recited the pledge that too is disreptful until he is old enough to understand. And no, at 10 he is not. I just discussed this with my 16 year old granddaughter last night. She lives in HOuston and said 10 year old don't have a clue what they are doing, how they really believe on these issues, etc. Her comment, 12 or 13, middle school yes...Anyway, I still think it is disrecptful.

So be it. Everyone and everything is not entitled to respect.

Many schools in the southern states still do use corporal punishment. I have no quarrel with that. But if any of them were crazy enough to use it to compel a student to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, they'd have their eyeballs sued out. Since the law doesn't seem to be your area of expertise, allow me to direct you to West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943).

oh so your 16 year old grand daughter is a child expert? Obviously he is old enough he can discuss the situation quite well.

Forcing someone to recite the pledge is disrespectful, especially when they have a justified reason.

Hmmmm you might just be right considering... Another like thing most people dont know about the pledge is that it actually was written by a socialist christian and part of socialist movement of nationalist ideas.
It also has been changed to have "under god" added in 1954 and you can figure out why that was added.
This is not a part of the constiution and the government decided to make it a requirement while they changed it around a few times since it was originally written in 1892. Government Brainwashing and parental brainwashing make the pledge worthless.
Throw the pledge out of the schools all together.

Sorry, but the "Pledge" never succeeded at brainwashing ME.....not like Obama's desperate attempt to do so with school kids, anyway.

WHY....don't you ALL just move to China or go sit in a sweat lodge in Arizona.....forever?
Just vanish.
OMG here we have proof that brainwashing does work...bet it was a short cycle wash....
