TIME magazine's Person of the Year is the person who most affected the events of the year, for better or for worse.

My prediction:

If it's a person - Obama for 2 in a row.

If it's a thing - social networking (Facebook/Twitter...) or right wing media (Fox/talk radio).

If he can get the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing at all while permitting only the second terrorist mass murder on American soil since Sept. 11, 2001, then he can certainly get the TIME Man of the Year award for the same thing.

Not no way, not no how.

This is TIME Magazine giving the award. Fox and talk radio are unpersons to them. Never to be acknowledged or their existence even admitted.

Good point. Instead of doing the job he was elected to do Obama should have been reviewing the service records of every member of the Armed Forces, determined that Nidal Hassan was likely to commit the crime he eventually committed, and spent all his time following Nidal Hassan to make sure he didn't do it.

Well, Jack, your point is dually noted; however, you may want to take it up with your liberal counterparts who relentlessly blame George W. Bush for "permitting" 9/11. What goes around comes around, as ridiculous as that is.

Obama would be to obvious. I'm betting its someone like Glenn Beck. Who can doubt the impact he's had this year, several "czars" have needed to resign among other actions.
