As the article outlines very well, Presidents have very little real power over the economy. Nevertheless, they do take the hit or get the praise on what happens on their watch. That's just the luck of the draw.

However, even though Presidents have little mechanical control over the economy, the proper tone can surely help to calm the jitters of both individuals, and more importantly, businesses.
Will the Jobs Summit set an overall framework for business to succeed, and therefore reduce unemployment, or become immersed in another round of non jobs producing spending initiatives?
