I have been contemplating the idea of a "National Call In Sick to Say We are Sick of Congress Not Listening Day". While the immediate effect may well hurt the best in our country - the small businessman, I say the Administration and Congress’ actions are destroying small business, so what is there to lose?

Polosi has asked that the Senate complete their work by 12/18 so the House can vote before Christmas, so I think 12/17 would be an effective ‘call in sick day’. Of course, it wouldn’t have any effect unless it was nationwide…

Bascailly you need to rememeber that politcs is a like a pedulum that swings. Tis time it seem that it swing pretty quickly;even facter than when CXarter was president. As the deficit grow even moderate democrats are swing . Just remmeebr that m,nay thign s can be changed and are likely to in the next few years as we see congress less willing to go along as they fear the deficits. like to see many cuts coming just as the bipartians call for poutting all prpogram before a committeee that inclusdes non-politccans. Thiongs have a way of changing all the time.

Unfortunately, most of the outraged are part of a media experiment in lies and distortions.
Unless of course, being a pawn of the whacko right is what you're whining about.
Nothing going on today in the government bothers you ?
Not even the latest news that the government has laxed the derivatives regulations rather than strengthen them ?

Or is it all just about "being Republican and right wing" ?

I agree with the basic concept of what you're saying but judging from what I see representing the independents... we're in real trouble.

We'd be much better off without Joe Lieberman in Washington.

Lieberman is single handedly giving independents a bad name... but he certainly seems to be enjoying all of the attention that he's getting!

Yes, and such a fine example of non-partisan posting displayed here....

Practice what you preach or shut up!!! If you're mad at the government then fine, but to talk about "these people" (as to signify ANYONE who dared vote for anything left of center), makes you no less of a partisan than she is....
