LONDON (AP) - Britain's University of East Anglia says the director of its prestigious Climatic Research Unit is stepping down pending an investigation into allegations that he overstated the case for man-made climate change.
The university says Phil Jones will relinquish his position until the completion of an independent review into allegations that he worked to alter the way in which global temperature data was presented.
Casualty #2 from Climategate.
Beautiful. Of course, we all know they will attempt to whitewash the investigation.

Amen. Hopefully, this will induce the global warming fanatics to re-evaluate thier position on this topic, given that the "data" was falsified. I really find it hard to believe that anyone with any scientific background was duped by this hoax. The fossil record clearly contradicts thier hypothesis, but that factual information (which they could not bury) was largely ignored in favor of recent fabricated data. Unbelieveable.
Now, given that the climate is cooling, should we use the converse "logic" of the global warming alarmists and encourage massive increase in the burning of fossil fuels? Seems "logical", given thier initial premise. Perhaps Gore will get on the bandwagon and ask for increased coal burning power plants and new oil refineries.
The mainstream media's silence on this topic is deafening....
It's getting better. This story is all over the blogosphere and the MSM is picking it up, slowly but surely.
And they are likely to pick it up even more and start asking questions of the WH as obama prances over to Copenhagen and the GOP, Palin and others start pounding him on the issue.
