Good map. Lubbock, Texas is doing well as can be expected in these sad times. The current unemployment rate of 5.4 percent is the highest in the Lubbock Economic Index's 14-year history but it's also the lowest of any metro area in Texas, and well below the national rate of 10.2 percent.
