WNYC - News - Former Acorn Employee Accused of Defrauding Verizon

Quote:
NEW YORK, NY December 01, 2009 —A former ACORN employee is accused of defrauding Verizon of a half-million dollars. Donnett Davis allegedly added 9,000 Department of Education phone lines to the account of ACORN's office in Brooklyn between 2004 and 2008. Richard Condon, the special commissioner of investigations for the city schools, claims she used the lines to qualify for gift certificates through Verizon's small business program
Apparently voting fraud is a transferable skill.

Isn't it interesting that whenever anything like this comes up, Acorn claims to know nothing of what their employees are doing.

That says volumes about Acorn.

Heard an interesting statistic today from someone who watches Glenn Beck and tracks his daily BS talking points. Of all the crap this moron mentioned in the period in question he barely mentioned Iraq, and not much about Afghanistan, either, but the two I remember him mentioning the most were the SEIU (a true labor union, the enemy of corporatists and their poodles like Beck) and the MOST mentioned story by this moron, overwhelmingly, by a more than 2-1 margin, was ACORN.

All these ACORN stories are brought to you courtesy of the village idiot on FOX

I wonder why ACORN is that popular with Glenn's followers.

It's their way of venting their rage at underprivileged minorities. Much of it is closeted racism. I guess disenfranchising thousands of these people in Florida in 2000 to steal the Presidency is not enough for them

Public funds being funneled to a group that is entrenched with political bias should be a concern to everyone. It obviously isn't for some. It's no coincidence that those people that are for all that happen to be a part of that party that ACORN is biased towards. If it was happening through their opposition "get out the vote" organizations they'd all the sudden find it disheartening.

So you back the corruption that is being shown about Acorn and choose to attack those bringing up the corruption rather the group that is being corrupt
