He said he teaches statistics, not those topics. If there are statistical problems in the research of those areas, they are fair and valid subjects to show issues with in his subject.

Why?
First off I was showing Naivety towards the word natural. Secondly stating to find problems with GW data, obviously one study, is clearly inserting a stance on a subject into a, as you pointed out, unrelated subject.
