scare mongering, the same language, the same predictions that did not come true.

Here it is;

http://www.climatemonitor.it/wp-cont...09/12/1974.pdf

http://translate.google.com/translat...64&sl=it&tl=en

Quote:
The forecasts of experts - reports the CIA report - ensure that Canada, the European part of the Soviet Union and the North of China "will be covered with snow and ice."
Quote:
The document speaks openly of "consensus" of climate scientists: are cited the most important schools of thought on this and conferences on climate which showed that the experts agree on cooling in action: "The world is returning to the climate regime that was between 1600 and 1850 - the law - called the 'Little Ice Age'. "
Now, where have we heard that before?

World Exclusive: CIA 1974 Document Reveals Emptiness of AGW Scares, Closes Debate On Global Cooling Consensus (And More…) « The Unbearable Nakedness of CLIMATE CHANGE (http://omniclimate.wordpress.com/2009/12/03/world-exclusive-cia-1974-document-reveals-emptiness-of-agw-scares-closes-debate-on-global-cooling-consensus-and-more/ - broken link)

Quote:
Nobody aware of the CIA document’s contents should be able to avoid a good chuckle after reading any of the current AGW reports on famine, starvation, refugee crises, floods, droughts, crop and monsoon failures, and all sorts of extreme weather phenomena; on climate-related major economic problems around the world; on Africans getting in climate troubles first; and so on and so forth.

Why? Because it is all too clear that those scares cannot be real, since they have already been mentioned verbatim in all their dramatic effect, but about Global Cooling.
Truly amazing. Is there ANY reason at all to trust ANY of these shysters?

Oh wow..blast from the past with the "acid rain".
At one point I was scared to get caught in a rainstorm for fear the raindrops could contain "acid"..seriously.

Oh to be naive and trusting of our MSM.

We should remember what the alarmists were saying 30 years ago.

The Fiction Of Climate Science - Forbes.com

Quote:
Many of you are too young to remember, but in 1975 our government pushed "the coming ice age."

Newsweek fell in line and did a cover issue warning us of global cooling on April 28, 1975. And The New York Times, Aug. 14, 1976, reported "many signs that Earth may be headed for another ice age."

In 1974, the National Science Board announced: ... Judging from the record of the past interglacial ages, the present time of high temperatures should be drawing to an end…leading into the next ice age."
Included were the usual spate of doom and gloom predictions, famine, flood, pestilence, drought, death on a global scale.....never came to fruition.
