in all fairness to GOP, whom i have flogged whenever i see these posts, on this --they are correct-- its not a recovery it never was a recession, its a contraction. 70% of economy is consumption 50% of which is probably utterly unnecessary. we spent bek we could. them days are over.
when the UIB is gone the party is over, welcome to mcdonalds and i dont mean mcdonald douglas.

The statement referred to in the OP had nothing to do with unemployment claims or, for that matter, with the number of people receiving unemployment benefits. The data are also seasonally adjusted so any holiday hiring spurt in the raw data is suppressed.

Obama could cure cancer and they'd say he didn't cure it the right way.
