I omitted the rest of your post to illustrate a point. The points you are making in your last paragraph are being told word by word in the Bible.
In my view, we have moved away from religion to the point where marriage and family aren't as important to a lot of people anymore. There is a lack of morals, divorce is rampant, child abuse, rape, violence and the rest. Hollywood has swage pipes right into out living rooms, and so forth. For the last few decades all we see is bad examples of human behavior, in all fronts: TV, movies, radio, the games children play on their game boxes, written from (books, magazines and such)...
Right. But you think it is due to the lack of God. I believe it is because of morals decline due to family not caring and divorce and such.
And sure, the Bible says it. My issue with the Bible is that it is not a factual source. The Bible goes over the BELIEFS of Christianity. It is not a universal book of facts. You cannot argue that my laptops keyboard is black with white letters. But you can argue any religious holy book.
Another issue I have with the Bible as of late is that it is so sexist. As a woman, it really bothers me.
Well, all depends on how you see it. The Bible speaks against greed. While our economy goes down the drain, greedy investors and leaders are packing their coffers with more treasures. For example, the bailouts allowed for a lot of people to give themselves bonuses, more pork in Congress, more money to the largest banks, and the same for some of the investing companies that control the market. Even Al Gore made a few millions.
So you're saying nothing bad happened before ..2002??? 1999??

I'm not gambling with anything...what is , is ..and what will be , will be...and mumbling prayers to the air won't change that.
But it sounds like the ONLY reason you behave is because of your fear of what MAY happen to you after death.....I behave because I believe it's the right thing to do....you live in fear ....what a rotten thing for your god to do to you....
