If it were me drugs, gambling and prostitution would all be legal.... I don't partake inn either btw. Drugs make you stupid or worse, and why pay for something you can get for free?

I have no qualms with taking out the profit from organized crime.

We allow cigarettes and alcohol and have these other prohibitions. I'd rather have the information about consequences and make my own decisions. I certainly don't trust the government to make good decisions, after all we are in 2 wars and they legalized aspartame, its obvious they make poor decisions.

The majority of voters in almost all 50 states favour some sort of legalising prostitution,
but no one wants a whorehouse in his neighbourhood...

They should be allowed only in the industrial zones & parks...

Most euro cities where prost is legal, have a "red light district ",usually close to...industrial zones & ..."ghettos"...

Nobody wants prostitution in his community...

Personally i would not have a problem with this, their own business, except in cases where minors are involved. I would have a problem, legal age man.

Default If I pay taxes, so should they!

More like the women should pay taxes for banking out from the horndogs. Prostitution is a profession, consentual, and a choice. They make tones of money, most girls make well over 200,000 a year, and never pay any taxes. If we legalized drugs and prostitution, a lot more money would come in through the IRS.

Default I don't get the correlation to drugs...

Why do you all keep bringing drugs up? Let's face it, there is an enormous difference between being a drug addict and selling substances that will kill people... and letting some single guy or girl have absolute control of their sex life.

I am not sorry to say that as a single guy I would much rather see prostitution legal, I could pay for what I want and not have to lie my way into bed with some game playing girl.

Why is that wrong? Why is it wrong to get a happy ending after a massage? Why does that compare to drug use? How is that even remotely close? Not all of us share the same religion or vision on what is or isn't moral.

I personally believe sex is a completely natural thing and the origin of the immorality regarding it comes from a very archaic time when people observed STDs for the first time and assumed it was the wrath of God, which si what any ignorant bronze aged or prior people would do. It is human nature to observe and place a label on something.

I am so sorry but if you are a Christian trying to keep puritanical values in place, the read the book you get those values from and you will notice even from the first book people were given free will. The problem is, society just can't get out of people's private lives and allow them the same free will the God they serve did.

So yeah, it is a little frusterating to say the least to know I will risk going to jail one day to get a happy ending at my massage parlor when it effects absolutely noone.

Drugs, slavery, they have nothing to do with this and we all know that there is a much higher likelihood that it being an underground activity currently it is much more linked to other underground activities because of that. It wouldn't be the case if it were legal. Use some common sense for crying out loud.

BTW boo friggin hoo if it is in your neighborhood, maybe we should stop trying to lie to our kids for the first 12 years of their lives anyway.

geez....that teaches a moral doesn't it, oh but wait, double standards right?
