You are aware that 47% is still very high. Fox's last pony, Dubya, Left with 21%. Likewise, 47% with a 3% margin of error still = half the nation approves. Statistics are fun when you look at all the numbers.

Im not a big Obama fan, but even I know the 3% drop he just had (wow, what a major dip! /sarcasm) is due to him pissing off progressives with his pro-war announcement.

Progressives will NEVER vote Republican. Sorry. Moderates are split 50 50, the same with independents. Republicans still dont have a prayer of unseating him as an incumbent. You need either a 'Nixon pardon' scale event (ford) or a Reagan-popular on both isles candidate. You have neither.

Republicans have alienated so many groups that theres no way theyll get any of the blue states from the last election to turn coat (and they would need at least 3 of the 'purple' ones to win).
