UCLA researchers this week published data that for the first time shows human blood stem cells can be engineered to attack HIV-infected cells and that the process could not only prove to be a breakthrough for AIDS patients but also for the sufferers of other viral diseases.
Human blood stem cells are not one in the same as embryonic stems cells. Destroying one human life to save another is the objection
Nazi scientists made incredible advancements to medical science through grotesque and abominable experimentation on people that others decried as "immoral". By your words, it sounds as though you would have been an apologist for their actions. Remember, the Nazi's did not believe they were experimenting on humans, once you strip personhood, you remove all boundaries and ethical constraints.
No ethical limitations and we could advance science far faster than we do today.
Be careful about shilling and poking scorn at "those who would oppose science". For someday, you (as when you become old and enfeebled) will be as helpless as those who you deem to be without substance or value.
If it's not AIDs it will be some other deadly disease. You cannot engage in tht activity without many diseases coming from it. I do believe Bush gave lots of money to fight AIDs.

Bush wasted a lot of money on abstinence only education, which is proven not to work, because he wanted to push his religious agenda.

Wasn't it President Bush that committed literally billions of dollars to Africa and the Caribbean to combat AIDS in those areas? Significant progress has been made as the number of AIDS victims in those areas have dropped dramatically. You don't have to like him, but give credit where credit is due.

The embryonic stem cells used in research are taken from frozen embryos that would never be used.
You really think they should just stay frozen forever rather than be used to help cure diseases?
