1. How can a place dissappear?
2. The NE and MW has nearly 4 times the population of the south.
3. The majority of population growing in the south = Retirees. They are not a 'growth' segment of society, nor are they re-producing.
I myself am a transplant from the south who moved west.

No, actually last time I checked the NE and MW combined had barely a little more than what the South has in population. And also the last I checked, the South is receiving the most people. I am getting my info from the most recent articles on this on the internet. Look it up.
...everyone from those regions seem to be so obsessed with moving South.

But yet you move South and still vote the way you did up North, and you start turning red states blue the more you move down here. Maybe there is a reason that socialism and high taxes aren't a good idea. Stay in your own state if you are going to come down here and vote the same.
Im a independent just because im from boston doesn not make me a liberal though most are up here (one of the reasons Im leaving)
You might want to check out the population density map of the US, seeing you actually think the south has more people than the NE and MW "combined". (snicker, snicker)
