I am really starting to like Al Franken. Harry Reid might be scared to stand up to Lieberman but Al sure as hell ain't! He punked Lieberman and told McCain to get lost too!

Did he not say "without objection" to McCain's unanimous request at the end? That's what it sounded like to me, which is not quite telling him to get lost.

I do enjoy anyone telling marionette faced Lieberman to shut his pie hole though.

Yes but he said it in a way that let McCain know he was not going to carry water for Traitor Joe.

I see both sides and haven't made up my mind how to interpret this. On one hand, I do see a lack of decorum by Franken and I think pettiness has no place in Washington. That type of conduct is limited to citydata

On the other hand, these Senators tend to ramble and they keep repeating the same thing rather than stating something new. And I did find it rather humorous that Franken didn't provide him with more time to speak. Also, McCain seems to a little too interested in the drama and his feelings.

I disagree, I think what McCain said was very important, if the Senate gets away from the comity that has been its hall mark to the pettyness exhibited by Franken, the place will devolve into the political equivalent of WWE.

No, pettiness should have no place in Washington which is why Leiberman should be put on a Greyhound to hell.
