Daily Kos: State of the Nation

One of the few Senators who is giving a dam* about the WHOLE nation rather than just his state.

Hear that Lieberman?

You mean Sanders the sell out? The guy who pulled his single payer amendment because he was afraid to have it read.

He's not a sell out by any means.
That can be said for the majority of those in Congress who didn't even want to vote on a single-payer bill (S. 703) and who refuse to send a single-payer bill to the CBO to have it scored.

THEY are the true sell outs.

Sanders pulled the amendment because he didn't want the GOP reading it just to take up time in order to stall the health care bill.

Those who want to pass this health care bill are the sellouts. They would rather waste taxpayer dollars by funneling it to health insurance companies.

Please. He pulled it because he wasn't going to let the GOP waste time with their tactic. That was the responsible thing to do. Afraid? LOL.

Yeah real profile in courage a man of his convictions, so what if the bill was read? Isn't it important enough to take the extra time. I guess not. Why waste the time in the presenting the bill in the first place?

The amendment was presented to get it on the record. It never stood a chance of passing, and Sanders knew that. The GOP knew that. Everyone knew that. The GOP is trying to stall. That's why Sanders removed the Amendment. It has nothing to do with being afraid.

Sanders is an admitted socialist and that precludes me saying thank you to him for anything.

IMO, the whole dang Congress should be thrown out - they are all corrupt

And those that suggest they are socialist(s), clearly don't know what, and oppose, Freedom.
