You are so so wrong , you do not know of what you speak. What you say is common talk among Libertarians , but I would guess you are not one of them. Talking points from the Rights rings loud and clear in your statement.
If I am wrong, correct me., but make a convincing statement , not talking points. I have Libertarian friends , and their views are more ideal in nature , some make good points. I agree in a perfect world , we should not need any " insurance of any kind , and it should not ne mandated. This includes auto , life , all the rest. If it were not for the big Insurance Companies , we would not have Auto Insurance required by all the States , and , at inflated prices....Our Governments job IS to keep us safe ,that can also mean safe from catastrophic run a way break the bank medical costs.A single payer system is what works for most of the modern world Countries , it should be at work here.......or in place of that , the Libertarian way , get rid of all Insurance companies and there Sweet heart deals with each other ...and the Government.

I think making a rule that people who LOSE lawsuits against doctors/ins companies etc have to pay for all the legal fees of BOTH parties.

That will cut down on people suing doctors left and right, unless its actually warranted. Somehow all these lawsuits that are frivolous need to be stopped.

Therefore lowering the ins costs that doctors have to pay which will lower the amount of profit they need and help to keep them in business. I know many Obstetricians in my area who have started only doing gynecology now because of such HIGH insurance costs, they wont even deliver babies anymore.

No one will force you to seek help. You will still have the freedom to suffer and die at home, but if you do go to the hospital in the future, you won't be able to just walk in and demand free service like in the past. Why? Because that 'free' service was free only for you, while the rest of us had to pay for it. So, in other words, the free enterprise society did not take care of itself as you claimed.

Lightbulb Conservatives, what do you think should be done to fix the healthcare problem?

The usual cure-alls...

1. tax cuts

2. trickle-down

3. privatization

It's worked so well on everything else.

Q: What type of health insurance do members of Congress receive? Is it a single-payer, government-run system?
A: Members of Congress are covered by private insurance under the same system that covers all federal workers.

FULL ANSWER

Members of Congress have good health insurance by any standard, but it’s not free and not reserved only for them – and it’s not government insurance. House and Senate members are allowed to purchase private health insurance offered through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, which covers more than 8 million other federal employees, retirees and their families.

Then let the American people in on the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. Or cancel that altogether and have them deal with the health "reform" they just passed ...
