We who voted for Obama knew (at least I hope) that the whole "no tax increase under $250k" line was aimed at income taxes.
No, he said taxes of any kind, not just income.

This is just ONE little snippet - there are many others.

He already broke that promise when he raised the tobacco tax.

but the taxes is not what was important to me, it is what is best for all of us
Obama ran on CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN
horse crap
he was going to CHANGE WASHINGTON
horse crap
he ran on being TRASPARENT
horse crap
he has hired on some of the worst scumbs in Washington
I have seen a lot of presidents in my day, the first one I voted for was
McGovern, I have always voted for the democrats
but this party is so slimy and rotten and Obama is the worst I have seen
to date, and he is just warming up
The nomination of McGovern drove me away from the Dem party. I swore that if they nominated that admitted socialist I was gone and they did and I left them and haven't ever been close to voting for one of their Presidential candidates.

The thing about his taxation promises that bothered me most was that he kept talking about income taxes and payroll taxes as if they aren't the same thing but they are. Withholding taxes are both payroll and income. Stupidity runs rampant in the Obama camp since he didn't write that speech himself

Parties don't 'put up' anyone so much as individuals choose to run (and are associated with a given party). My guess is that some of the 2008 losers will try again, esp Romney. Huckabee seems less likely, esp after the guy he pardoned shot 4 police officers dead recently. Besides that, Palin will likely try. Pawlenty (MN) is definitely going to run based on his actions (not seeking a 3rd term, visiting IA and NH, etc.) I would like to see Pawlenty get the nod of those who are likely candidates. Mitch Daniels (IN) says he is not interested, but he would also make a good candidate. IMO, Obama is a sitting duck as his policies are disastrous but he has the media in his back pocket.

I'd be happy with Pawlenty or Daniels. There is a former NM Governor Gary Johnson who supposedly has a strong libertarian streak as well. I don't know much about him, but he seems like an interesting dark horse. I like Mike Pence (IN) as well, but I think he is a bit too public about the social issues. I agree with him on most social issues, but prefer the social libertarian approach in the leave-it-to-the-states sense.

This is an astute observation, as I have heard David Horowitz and Mark Levin both note that the (D) party started its move to the ultra hard commie left starting with the McGovern campaign.

LOL! It was a lie. When you think about it, Obama is likely evil and or a liar b/c the chances of him being so stupid as to think that tax hikes, the Congressional Healthcare plans, Cap-and-Trade, EFCA/Card Check, increased regulation and open borders/amnesty would help the Economy are very small. I say this not b/c I think he's smart but b/c I don't think he's THAT stupid.

I am admitting I was wrong. So far, there are two major lies. First, getting out of the war. Second, I could swear that he said that he was "not going to sign any healthcare bill that didn't have a public option." What other lies have surfaced?

As for the war, I would like to see it over. And for the healthcare measure, it doesn't bother me because I already have coverage. The problem is that he LIED. The biggest problem is that McCain would have been the same way. I will be voting third party next time. I am sick of the lies, lies and more lies. I just can't believe I let myself buy into the Obama hype.

You voted for a guy because he gave great speeches.

You voted for a guy who only had 137 days in the Senate

A guy with no executive experience.

Who never ran a business

Who went to church for 20 years under a racist pastor.

Yes...you should feel ashamed.

Don't feel bad about making that mistake. I know a man who was so sure that Obama was our answer to so many things. He realized by early August 2009 that he had screwed up but he got taken in by the speeches he heard by Obama. He really feels bad but his vote wasn't worth anything here in Kansas. Only Republicans can be elected to the presidency here.

Saint Barack fooled millions of people and many of them have realized what they did but many of them just won't give up.
