You won't see it in your tax returns but instead it has names like Cap and Trade, Health Care Reform and lets not forget the enormous debt getting racking up like they are playing with monopoly money.

In addition to the CEO pay, 10 additional executives at the two companies are eligible collectively for $30.1 million in compensation for this year.

President Barack Obama on Wednesday imposed $500,000 caps on senior executive pay for the most distressed financial institutions receiving federal bailout money. Americans, he said, are angry at "executives being rewarded for failure."
You can't even make this stuff up if you tried.

From "Yes we can" to "No we won't" | SocialistWorker.org

A well-written article about the disappointment of Obama - they certainly agree.

Quote:
Walter Russell Mead--whose title of Henry Kissinger senior fellow for U.S. foreign policy at the Council on Foreign Relations tells you everything you need to know about him--couldn't contain his delight:
There are no flies on our President. He could sell shoes to a snake.

Barack Obama's acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize was a carefully reasoned defense of a foreign policy that differs very little from George Bush's. He is winding down one war, escalating a second, and stepping up the pressure on Iran. He is asserting America's sovereign right to unilateral action in self-defense, while expressing the hope that this right will not need to be exercised.

If Bush had said these things, the world would be filled with violent denunciations. When Obama says them, people purr. That is fine by me...I've waxed lyrical about Obama's ability to sell our foreign policy to the world. He didn't just put lipstick on the pig; he gave it a makeover and sent it to charm school.

I'm a (barely) middle class single white guy who won't quite make 50K this year. I fully anticipate getting hammered with new taxes next year. I also anticipate my employer getting hammered as well and I'm expecting layoffs and loss of benifits.

Hey! It's my duty to make sure we take care of the unions, insurance companies as well as the lazy welfare crowd.

For some reason when people hear a politician talking about taxes they only think income. They forget the many other forms of taxes out there. That happened to many that supported Obama.

I am admitting I was wrong. So far, there are two major lies. First, getting out of the war. Second, I could swear that he said that he was "not going to sign any healthcare bill that didn't have a public option." What other lies have surfaced?

As for the war, I would like to see it over. And for the healthcare measure, it doesn't bother me because I already have coverage. The problem is that he LIED. The biggest problem is that McCain would have been the same way. I will be voting third party next time. I am sick of the lies, lies and more lies. I just can't believe I let myself buy into the Obama hype.
Well good for you dad. I suppose you were some of the same people calling the McCain/Palin people morons during the election. Communisim is just that, an empty bowl of rice in exchange for your soul. It has never brought the wealth and opportunity to a country it has infested and the only time the infected country sees any dayligtht is when it starts to let in a little evil capitalisim. The poor get more so and the rich just pack and move.

He said no taxes of any kind.

"I can make a firm pledge," he said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

I believe smokers earning less then 250k seen their taxes go up
