Some of the greatest social leaders of our time unequivocally believe that all are equal regardless of their geographic, social, political, racial, national, or criminal situation. People such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, and a few controversial figures such as Sister Helen Prejean. Do you all question their beliefs and opinons as well? Not looking to start a flame war here, just curious.
As to the first 5 criteria on your random list, I agree. On the bolded one, yes, I question their opinions as well. I do not believe that a child molester or murders who gun down a man in front of his small children for money, are equal to even an average, ordinary citizen who lives their lives to the best of their abilities, even with whatever faults they may have. I just don't.

Are their lives equal in terms of them being equally entitled to them? Yes, absolutely.

Are they, as human beings, equal in stature? Hell freaking no.

the men who did this-- if ever caught will get years of trials at our expense and then fed and housed w/o any labor requirements with gym and rec previleges, we call that punishment for crime.
the men that beat and kidnapped and assaulted my 78 year old friend were on the news last night - 2 years later, still in trial, the look of utter lack of remorse was on his face.
all of these people should been executed as soon as guilt was firmly established.
