Why of course not. Didn't you hear our head of Homeland Security say that the system worked? Oh wait, she then turned a 180 and said that it didn't work. Hmmm... Just WHO hired this genius of a woman?

No, she did not say she mis-spoke. She said her comment was taken out of context. No admission of fault at all.

What do you want, to continue to apologize for this administration until they are out of office? Or continue to be blind to their faults in the name of the one?

Way to attempt to obfuscate. Comparing apple to oranges is a weak argument. The president is sworn to protect from all enemies from a foreign nation. He did not.

The police are sworn to protect against domestic violence.

See the difference and how silly your statement is?

According to a new Rasmussen Reports poll, 79% of Americans expect a terrorist attack in the U.S. in 2010 - up from 49% who felt that way in August.

Napolitano needs to step down - and be replaced with someone with a very good and tough security background and reputation.

Otherwise - Department of Homeland Security will be regarded as an expensive joke.

All the guy did was attempt to bring down an airliner. Its not like he heckled one of our elected officials at a town hall meeting.

Well folks, all will be well and fixed. Congress said they would "hold a hearing" on this in January.
So nothing to worry about because Congress is on top of this now.

Feds assess terror watchlists after airline attack - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091228/ap_on_re_us/us_airliner_attack - broken link)

snippet:
"Congress is already starting to weigh in. Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., said Monday that the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee would hold hearings on the incident in January. Lieberman is chairman of the committe."

The truly obfuscating statement was the one personally blaming Obama for failing protect our citizenry (although I don't believe any were actually harmed) by not preventing a single person from boarding a plane in Amsterdam with explosives.

Also, while it certainly is duty of the President to protect and defend the safety of Americans, the only oath he is sworn to is to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The procedures for screening passengers should not change due to the flight originating in another country.

Total red flag - Young muslim man (of course, profiling is a no-no now), purchasing a one-way ticket with cash AND having NO luggage.

Also, what foreign nation is Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab? Or at least, what foreign nation's authority was he acting under?

The system worked before it didn't work.
