In fact, one of the lessons I do remember from Sunday school is that the early Christians used only that one letter to identify themselves to each other because openly identifying as Christian was dangerous to the point of being deadly.

Correct, as usual. "X" is chi in the Greek alphabet. There are many things about the history of Christianity that people aren't taught today..my neighbor thought that "alpha" was the Greek word for "beginning" and "omega" for "the end." I've never seen "xian" used as anything but shorthand. Haven't seen it spray-painted on a church the way swastikas are painted on synagogues.

I don't agree. However, how much effect do you think secular law has on Islamic extremism? Might that not indicate a huge difference between Islam and Christianity to one with a secular outlook?

Yes, that was foot-in-mouth for sure. Should have followed a teleprompter there. His use of the term was the generic meaning of the word, not "Crusade" as Islam understands it. It's the kind of gaffe that Biden would make, and get away with.

Good point. People will always find justification for their actions, instead of taking responsibility.

NO!!! People kill because THEY in their minds want to, not because religion tells them to not because they misinterpret a passage but because they WANT to. People will attempt to place blame on religion or because they mother wasn't nice to them or because the sky was blue today but at the end of the day every person that willingly kills does it because THEY want to. Period!

What country are you referring to? Any country throughout history that was a theocracy, regardless of the religion, became oppressive, intolerant, and violent!

"Left Behind: Eternal Forces"
An evangelical Christian video game

Quote:
Why the game has received so many negative reviews:

The movie has been bitterly condemned by some reviewers who feel that:

It is excessively violent.
It teaches that that murder of non-Christians because of their religion is acceptable.
It promotes the inferiority of women.
It implies that Satan and demons are on the side of non-Christians.
An Evangelical Christian video game
