What you say makes a lot of sense. I've seen the exact same things posted on forums other than CD.....it looks organized to me. Much like the so-called grassroots folks last summer screaming about healthcare. They were organized all right.

I also agree that the far right hate groups are FAR AHEAD of everyone else in using the Internet to create an illusion of "the majority" of Americans think this and think that, and to push their political agenda.

These same folks have been trumpeting Obama's fall in approval ratings but that fall has largely been because of the economy (as falls in President's approval ratings nearly always are) - and as the economy recovers so will his approval ratings. The GOP WILL make some gains in Congress next year (as is almost always the case (the controlling party losing seats) in off-year elections) - but the gains are likely to be smaller than the Obamabashers expect. The reason for this is that the economy will be doing better by November of next year. It won't be fully healthy yet (unemployment will still be over 8%) but the improving trend will be very very clear - and the ECONOMY will be still the most important consideration for most voters.

Ken
Interesting how your entire premise of Obama's re-election hinges solely on a recovering economy. Apparently you not given thought to the fact that a terrorist attack on our soil during this fragile economy would put this nation in a nosedive. Can we say double-dip? Could we say a loss of confidence? Can we say do-or-die time for Obama in regards to national security? Keep your fingers crossed, because you're going to need it if this argument is your Ace in the Hole.

You Conservatives who are attacking everyone sure aren't being hypocritical at all, nope! You are always right and being a Liberal always puts me in the wrong. Thanks I'm glad to know that your way is always the best. Where would we be without people like you?
Fantastic post. Seriously. You hit the nail on the head with every point.

Let's start and end with your first sentence.

I give you the OP's "civil thread".

Maybe these people have nothing else better to do than to bash, bash, bash.
The thread starters may post within the first two pages, then they often disappear, probably to dig up more against Obama for a new thread (usually within 12 to 24 hours, you can depend upon it!).
What's apparent is that the thread starters are not interested in a discussion, they just want to vent about hating Obama. These people live in a world of rage 24/7/365. Opinions contrary to the OP are dismissed: Oh, you're just another socialist *******.
You could just as well talk to your chair.

Since weeks I look at the name below the thread and if started by certain people, don't even bother to open the thread. Those threads are predictable, like watching the same movie over and over again...how much longer before you get up and leave the theater?
Are opening anti-Obama threads worth your time?
Isn't it amazing how our ideology colors what we read and how we interpret it?
