More signs that the economy under Obama is on the right track!

U.S. Jobless Claims Drop to Lowest Level Since 2008 (Update2) - BusinessWeek

Quote:
Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Fewer Americans than anticipated filed claims for unemployment benefits last week, pointing to an improvement in the labor market that will help sustain economic growth next year.

Initial jobless claims fell by 22,000 to 432,000 in the week ended Dec. 26, the lowest level since July 2008, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington.

Or one could say we only paid 300k ( not exact amount) per job for that to go down

Isnt it great we are paying that amount to create a job that might pay 30k a year if they get to keep it a year

Heck we are paying that 300k for some jobs that only last weeks

Yes lets jump for joy

I always found it funny that they base unemployment levels on the amount of people filing for benefits. So here's the kicker question: How many people are unemployed, but are either not filing for benefits or unable to?

I've learned not to pay attention to weekly totals. One week there's optimism, the next week there's gloom. I only care about the trend.

What you really mean to say is ...

.... it is under Obama when the news is bad.

.... it is under the "people" when the news is good.

Let's face it, our economy has been improving since Obama took office, and you Republicans just can't handle it!
