The Atlantic's Marc Ambinder wants to know what people think is "the best (or worst) Republican political scandal of the decade?" Not mentioned? The Bush administration lying its way into a war of choice, listening in on the phone conversations of Americans, torture, Abu Ghraib, putting an unqualified crony in charge of FEMA, the US Attorneys firing, outing a CIA operative to get back at her husband, etc.

You really should stop using the far leftist site "mediamatters" as a source of information.

Also, in 2004, the Senate Intelligence Committee unanimously approved a report acknowledging that it "did not find any evidence that administration officials attempted to coerce, influence or pressure analysts to change their judgments."

The following year, the bipartisan Robb-Silberman report similarly found "no indication that the intelligence community distorted the evidence regarding Iraq's WMD."

Do you mean connections to 9/11 or to terrorists?

Bush never said Saddam had ties to the 9/11 attacks.

As I posted, several separate investigations showed that the Bush administration lied.

Other intelligence agencies, including foreign ones, were making the same claims regarding Iraq's WMD.
Which means that either Bush AND the entire international intelligence community AND the U.S. Senate and House intelligence committee lied or none of them did. It can't be both ways.

I believe the worst was LBJ setting up the North Vietnam "attack on US Warship" that led us into the War in Southeast Asia. But, was he republican? I can't remember.

The sad part is no one cares. The Daily Show showed the tapes where each one got up and said "I never lied, I never said that" and then the tape of them saying that exact thing, each lie again and again, and never a response.

As long as truth doesn't matter in the debate with the partisan nuts, we all loose.

There is no point arguing with people who have a complete delusion of reality.

The fool has one great advantage over a man of sense — he is always satisfied with himself.

What connection would that be? You have a link where Bush connected Saddam to 9/11?
