There are many bills in committee right now that is trying to suspend and confiscate arms and suspend your rights to gun ownership. Most of the bills are being written by the Obama white house. There is a larger picture then just Obama or Bush that the media is not reporting on it. If you don't know, just remember that the media is owned by large corporations. Large corporations and elitists run this country not the president. He is only a mere puppet. The Fed and the IRS are unconstitutional. The IRS is a private collection agency(not part of our gov't) and is an arm of the unconstitutionally created FED reserve.

Not saying that this will happen but if they know where to look for guns (declared on the income tax), should they truly wish to confiscate them they would have a heck of a starting place.

Apparently the poster didn't read the linked snopes article?

The linked snopes article claims that reporting guns on tax return is false.

The point being that these kind of bills are being introduced time and again in a underhanded way, ie, not following the legislative processes.

Get real. They're not going to confiscate your guns. They're going to tax them and only take them if you don't pay.

Even though this is a hoax I will answer it anyway.

I would have to have an extra sheet of paper for all our guns.

And no, I would never trust this ADMIN with knowing my PERSONAL information.

It is none of anyone's business what or how many guns we own.

Can you link me to all these supposedly "many Bills" in committee right now? I call BS, and chicken little on this whole thread. Trying to pin something on Obama that doesn't exist.

For the record, I am a collector of guns and investment grade firearms and know of no secret bills originating from the executive office and I keep close tabs on these sort of things.

On a historical note, they've used the IRS before to implement gun control. The 1934 firearms act (revised in 1968) required you register and buy a tax stamp for certain classes of weapons (tommy guns and sawed off shotguns mainly). After a short registration period, it was then illegal to own them if you didn't have the stamp.

It could happen again. "The power to tax is the power to destroy" is one of my favorite judicial statements.

Now 'all Guns' must be listed on your next (2010) tax return!
This one is easy to debunk.. just follow the OP's link. Nothing there about listing guns on tax returns. The OP debunked himself.

You are absolutely right about the tax issue. I belong to various 2nd. Ammendment groups, national and local and if there was a whiff of this actually happening we'd be all over it like a cheap suit. The problem with threads like these is that the poster's agenda is to smear Obama and the administration rather than sound the alarm on some valid issue about gun rights. Crying wolf does no one any good.
