The political action committee that organized the Tea Party Express ("Our Country Deserves Better PAC") funneled almost two-thirds of its spending back to the political consulting firm from which it was spawned. More than $850,000 of the money the "grassroots" PAC collected went to the firm of GOP political operatives who ran it.

Fox spent weeks promoting apparent tea party scam | Media Matters for America

This is what Maddow has been saying all along! Insert Tim Philips (Americans for Prosperity): No Rachel, WE ARE BOTTOM UP GRASS ROOTS!

LMAO!

Wow, Rick Santelli would be really interested to hear the Tea Parties were someone elses "spawn". Or maybe he is part of the conspiracy! Yeah that's the ticket he knew all along, he was a patsy a patsy I tell ya!

Comparing this to a corrupt organization who played a part in destroying the housing market? Hilarious.

The sad thing is it happens again and again, and no one learns. I can think of examples first hand at least 25 years old.

People get whipped up by partisan crap to the point where they never look too closely at who is backing it, or how the money gets used, or what the end result is. When people ask the promoter just tells people if they question anything they are the enemy! Sadly, it seems to trick many people.

Hilarious and naive :-) That's like saying I played a part in the California wildfires by smoking a cig while John Doe (in this case, the banks) poored gas on a raging bonfire. And who got the bailout? The banks...

I have a great idea! We tax cigarettes because they cause great harm. We may tax soda pop for the same reason. How about a FOX News tax? Have all the cable and direct services, just put an access tax on viewing FOX News. It could be called, oh, say the "Stupid Tax". The money collected could then be put directly into our Education System.
