I recently finished Sarah Palin's book, I enjoyed it, the book provided some insights and background that I wasn't aware of. I'm thinking about picking up Obama's books, I'd like some insight into the man from his own words. I'm wondering who has read his book(s) and can recommend them (or advise me to save my money ).

Thanks.

This should probably be in the books forum, but, yes, I would definitely recommend Obama's books. I found both Dreams From My Father and The Audacity Of Hope to be quite readable and having copies of both have made it much easier for me when it comes to debunking the misquotes and out right lies being spread about the man.

There is too much of Obama in my life already to get me to want to read any of his books. I mean, the man gives more speeches than a talkinghead.

That said, I think it can be a great way to gain insight and broaden your knowledge.

I suggest borrowing the books or getting them from your library though. Do not put another dime in that man's pocket by buying his books!
